 Shamus, Oreo, and Hopi had been dreaming of a more relaxed country life and especially of having more time with their moms who went off to work everyday and many times came home cranky and tired.
Shamus had to work real hard carrying the ball to his mom for throwing over and over again to get a smile.
Hopi was nearing doggie retirement age from her days on the farm in Florida prowling for critters of all kinds. She often times dreamed of a warm mountain fireplace to sleep by! 
Oreo and her best kitty friend Thelma longed for days filled with mountain adventures which they so often visited.
Then one day along came a series of big winds ( hurricanes) and the moms packed their cars with the three dogs and four cat’s , soon to be rearranged according to species, and permanently headed for the mountain life.
 Melissa and Viki brought their animals to Pigeon forge over the summer of 2004 with retirement in mind. Having been involved with dogs all their lives a shop devoted to their canine friends and owners is a little dream that came true in a big way! Melissa is owned by two rescue dogs from her days working at the humane society. Oreo a Border collie mix (pictured with her best friend Thelma the cat) & Shamus a parti-colored cocker spaniel who doesn’t know the meaning of the word rest!
Viki is owned by Hopi, a chow mix that is enjoying her retired life in the mountains!
